Last year, I had to throw away my gorgeous western rug when Miss Gabby was so sick before we put her to sleep … she loved that rug but she was sick all over it and I did not think it would clean up so I threw it out. I’m glad that I did … after she was gone … I could not have stood to look at it and her not be here to use it. I went down to Willy Wally World locally and got a piece of Berber Carpet that is supposed to be a rug … it is a green color … I do not like it particularly but I figured that if the puppy had serious accidents or chewing urges on it, it would be no big loss. I’m still looking at rugs online though – none of the stores have any that I like … I want something with a western theme but different than the one I had. (Sugar Plum has not chewed on the new rug or had an accident on it … I’m thinking I am probably safe to buy a good rug that I actually like .. but I am having trouble finding one that I like … I am being very particular aobut what rug I buy – it has to be just the right one)!
I found some gorgeous animal wildlife rugs over at The Woolly Sheep Mountain Trading Co. They had three wolf rugs that are fabulous! The close-up rug view with the pack is my guess of which one my daughter would like best. She loves wolves and would love all of them … but I’m not shopping for her! I’m looking for a rug for me!
My son-in-law and his Dad would both like the Bass Area Rug and the Trout Area Rug … but again … I’m not shopping for them .. I’m shopping for me! But I do need to remember to tell my daughter to have him go look at these so they can think about getting his Dad one for Father’s Day or maybe next Christmas.
The patterns they have are nice and all the bears, deer, eagles, ducks, elk and moose are awesome … they just are not what I want … I want a patterned rug … western pattern … similar but different to what I had before. But I will remember to check these out for my daughter’s birthday … I need to start shopping for her birthday gift in June or at the very latest … July. Wolves are always a safe gift for her!
I’m going to keep looking … I had high hopes since they have lots and lots of western decor … oh well … I am sure they get new merchandise in all the time … maybe next time … I’ll just keep checking once a week or so to find out … I want a new western rug!
