I’ve been stressing for what seems like forever over where to move this fall.

Buy a new manufactured home with land that is probably in the middle of nowhere (otherwise known as “The Country”) or buy an old house with trees & squirrels and assorted old house problems in an established neighborhood (I don’t have enough money in the bank for a down payment on a brand new subdivision house at this time plus most of the ones I could afford to buy are a LONG way out from where I work or from being close to my daughter & grandson too)

OR

I could rent an apartment, a duplex or an old house.

I am going to be moving – my daughter is selling the house – the people are friends of theirs so we know in advance when they want to move in – their lease is up the end of October so they want to move in during October. Me being the type not to wait until the last minute … I started packing weeks ago. I have a huge box of clothes packed – mostly winter stuff and things I won’t be wearing for quite awhile. I have a lot of things packed and in the hall closet too – odds & ends of this n that – stuff that is not used much and won’t be missed much while packed away waiting to be moved … hmmm … if I do not need it for 2 to 4 months … maybe I should throw it out already? Actually no … I do use it all (some is knick knacks and assorted busines papers I need to keep but do not need them handy much so I do need to keep it all – I can just live without it until I get moved. I haven’t packed the books off the bookshelves yet – I need to go get book boxes so I will not have large heavy boxes of books.
