Great article and totally have to agree!
I love my tablet and even have some drawing and photo apps on it, but it's primary use is for reading. 90% of the graphic work I do on my computer would kill my tablet or at least bog it down while I had to sit there forever while it attempted to think. Also I tend to think a lot of the heavy rendering involved with graphics would be really rough on the solid state memory that most tablets use. Most of the projects would never fit on a tablet (at least in their in-progress state). Plus I'm not sure that they have pressure sensitive screens. That's one of my favorite features on a WACOM. Maybe in few years they could meet my needs, but I'd have a hard time give up 4+Xs the screen space. All cheers for dual monitors!!

You can interact in a lot of ways on tablets, as you say, but to CREATE often requires things like you said, above. I know you CAN do a lot of art on tablets now, but if you're not doing digital art, I agree you still need a computer. Funny how now there's this line between people who really USE a computer vs. people who only used it for the internet and now they have other options. And here's an interesting blog post I ran across that touches on this subject as well: http://joelrunyon.com/two3/an-unexpected-ass-kicking (don't let the title fool you - LOL)

HUGS ... :) ... thanks so much Becky ... it runs in my family so I was kind of expecting it ... somewhere ... in the far distant future ... maybe ... when I was much older ... mid to late 70's was what I had thought ... the doctor says it is too early to pronounce it as either Alzheimer's or Dementia ... he just calls it a Cognitive Disorder ... but prescribed the Alz meds ... lol ... seems semantics to me though I get to go test every year to see if and how much I decline from one year to the next.

But when I decided to share my struggles publicly out here ... I hoped that it might help someone else living with these issues too. :) And there is hope because research is on-going! Even if it does not help me personally, perhaps it will my kids and grandson since they are at risk as well.
