Today is Thanksgiving – Happy Thanksgiving to these gorgeous wild and free turkeys … it is a gorgeous sight to see them in a field on a foggy morning with no axe, no chopping block and no roasting pan anywhere near them.Don’t get me wrong … I LOVE roasted turkey … and I do not plan to never eat it again …. BUT it is nice to see real turkeys alive and well roaming free near a forest too.

Balance … besides … I am guessing that most frozen grocery store turkeys are caged birds meant only for roasting pans … probably born in cages … raised in cages and kept in cages until time to be killed and frozen ready for us to cook on Thanksgiving Day.

I’m eating ham at my daughter’s house this year … no turkey … maybe they’ll have turkey for Christmas … but my grandson LOVES ham and doesn’t much like turkey.
