I just discovered that Hilary has announced she is going to run or is least exploring running for President. Do I support her? Yes. Why? To find out why, read my below support comment (quoted completely) sent to Hilary Rodham Clinton today.

You’ve got the intelligence, experience, common sense, governing skills and the political know-how to deal with Congress, the news media, Foreign Policy and Foreign Governments. You’ve got my vote. Thank you so very much for stepping up to this challenge. I am praying you will be successful and become our next President because our country is in serious need of stability, reason, logic, intelligence and experienced, trustworthy leadership.
We’ve been “Bush-whacked” nearly into destruction and we still have two more years to survive before being rid of a man who apparently has no common sense in dealing with anything or anyone and appears to be basing his Foreign and National policies on the premises of a badly written B Western movie script and grade school yard bully tactics.
Obama does not have the experience nor the political know-who that will be required by our next President if our country is to survive and prosper in a global village world. I hope he will be part of your government. I believe he will learn quickly but now is not the time for another inexperienced President in Foreign Policy when we are rotating on the cusp of disaster with the entire world.
I believe the Middle East countries will be the ones most reluctant to deal with you as a woman President. It is entirely possible they will welcome your common sense and experience with heart-felt relief though to finally be dealing with someone reasonable, rational and experienced with differing world cultures, religions, viewpoints, governmental agendas and various world governmental political concerns that will listen, think and make decisions based on logic and projected long term consequences and results.
I was just as horrified and upset about 911 as any other American, then and now. But I felt then and still feel today that it was WRONG for the US Government to declare war and attack Afghanistan, the country.
The Afghanistan Taliban government probably was very supportive and involved behind the public scenes with the terrorists (similar to our governments past activities in regarding other countries that were not made public to Americans until well after the fact) but Afghanistan the country was NOT publicly, as a country, involved or at fault to be held responsible for 911 or for “cowboy revenge rage appeasement” of hurting Americans. Afghanistan the country was NOT responsible for 911. Afghanistan the country did NOT declare war on us and attack us as a government / country.
Unfortunately, the rest of the entire world has lived with similar incidents, pains, fears in their countries for a very long time. Eventually, global reality made it’s way to our shores for us to join the rest of the world in todays’ modern reality of being unsafe and at risk every day, all day, everywhere.
We, as a country, attacked an entire country, Afghanistan, for what “public” individuals (Al Queda) were responsible for which makes us no better than terrorists ourselves. Then, as a country, we attacked Iraq’s government and governing leader based on “rumors” and flaunting the rest of the world as irrelevant compared to “Bush-whacker and company” agendas and terrorist war decisions.
Harsh words? Harsh realities. The rest of the world believes we have a rabid animal loose in the White House running the country and so do I. I believe George Bush will be known in global history as the “Butcher of Afghanistan and Iraq”.
The rest of the entire world has endured horrible “terrorist” attacks in their lands for thousands of years. World reality is that you try to get along with your neighbors in spite of secret agendas and in dclaring war, it should be based on governmental public wrong-doing that the rest of the world can publicly support.
In the last 50 to 100 years, our government has secretly plotted attrocities in other lands that killed thousands of their local citizens. Their country did not attack our country. True, probably because they were afraid of our military might, at that time.
Today’s reality is that it is a global world and technology has leveled the playing field to make all countries equal, no matter the size of their military.
Do I personally want North Korea or Iran for example to have nuclear weapons to kill me and my family if they are in a bad mood? No.
Do I believe they and all other countries have just as much right to have the technology as my country? Yes.
The rest of the world has had to fear that we would kill them and their families if we were in a bad mood for years and years. Our country has been seen by other countries as an oppressive, unstable bully with superior technology and sheer numbers of military capable citizens for years due to our lack of understanding or knowledge of global terror / fear realities they have lived with for centuries.
911 was our wake-up call that we are part of the entire world and that we will spend the rest of our lives living with the same dailiy realities they live with every day without declaring war on other countries using 4 year old mentality. That could cause the end of the world today with current technology.
I believe you know and understand these global realities and are prepared to tread the dangerous waters of being part of the global village while our country grows up to be adult world citizens.

I plan to vote for Hilary. I plan to contribute to her Presidential campaign – true it won’t be much but every penny helps and every vote counts. Am I supporting Hilary only because she is a woman? No.
I am supporting Hilary Rodham Clinton for President in 2008 because she has the experience, the knowledge, the skills and the leadership qualities our country needs in our next President.
It will take someone special to clean up after “Bush-whacker the Butcher” and earn the respect of the world for our country again based on common sense and logical, practical solutions to issues. I believe Hilary Clinton is the pereson who can accomplish these goals and tasks.
