Illustration Friday: Clumsy
on January 22nd, 2010 at 4:12 pmToday’s topic is clumsy … that one hits me right where I live … it is a family trait I inherited as well as my most defining feature I think … I have lazy eye so I use only one eye to see which means I have no depth perception … that in itself makes for one clumsy person … I can guess … sometimes my guesses are spot on … while other times I may be inches or yards out of measurement … I have a very unique vision of everything that is uniquely me.
The old saying goes not to cry over spilled milk … well … I tend to not cry over spilled tea or coffee … the reason is that I usually end up wearing my tea or coffee cuz I looked instead of went by feel … or worse yet .. I dropped the cup or glass … but one of the benefits to being clumsy is that you definitely learn to laugh at your own foibles … and for some of us … we learn to laugh at the world’s foibles too from laughing at our own.
When I start painting on fabric … I am seriously considering using coffee as my brown dyes for my silk scarves!
