Letterman Controversy
Many parents and grandparents, including me, as well as non-parents feel very protective about everyone’s children … we “got” Letterman’s “joke” in the spirit it was told … mean, hateful and ugly.
… the depth of how inappropriate the one-liner was depended on IF we knew which Palin daughter was at the baseball game ….
Letterman was NOT insinuating artificial insemination from a distance. A friend of mine said, “if a-rod was going to end up “knocking up” any of the palin daughters during the 7th inning stretch of that particular game, it would have had to have been the one who was actually there.”
not knowing … it could easily be “assumed” to be directed towards Bristol Palin. I “assumed” it was Bristol at the game … me being in Houston Texas and not even particularly interested in the Palin family activities, I had no idea the truth of the matter.
Discovering it was the 14 yr old Palin daughter at the game … Letterman was “joking” about A-Rod molesting a child on national TV.
This is … unspeakably horrible … I feel sick … this is … unacceptable!
