Last nite when I wrote my Tuesdays Topic post and chose the Spunky Old Broads topic by a method of elimination of the other topics … it did not occur to me to see if and who might have that website …
… tonite in my email there was an email address at spunkyoldbroad.com … well being the nosy, curious and spunky old broad that I am, I HAD to see the website.
NOTE: I am NOT endorsing or encouraging anyone to buy anything …
… on the Internet as in real life, if ya get out your money and spend it, ya takes yer chances at being parted from your money for something you might not want so be advised, as always, it pays to think and research BEFORE shopping.
I liked her video … and a video playing is usually the very first turnoff of a website for me that makes me close my browser right away. Dr Gayle Carson is a midlife crisis coach. I laughed seeing the letters “SOB” spread all over the website … it was a marvelous contrast to what most people use them for … SOB … Spunky Old Broad … she appears to be quite a spunky lady that has not only survived a lot of hardships and heartaches over the years but prospered and kept her spunkiness. She was very lively and well spoken.
I’ll share my secrets of being a spunky old broad with y’all for free …. ;P … (but I am not a coach of any kind – I am an Artist and Technical Writer … I didn’t need a support system to change my life beyond my family and Miss Sugar Plum) … I had my midlife crisis back when I turned 30 … now I am an old crone who is quite proud of being OLD – I worked hard to get here and I am definitely enjoying the fruits of my labors … lol
When I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic last fall, I took responsibility for my health into my control (low fat labels is NOT the way to eat healthy I discovered the hard way and NO ONE had told me that carbohydrate was label-speak for SUGAR) by SENSIBLE dieting (a diabetic diet plan that still allows for chocolate and desserts … in SMALL amounts – 30 carbs of chocolate means no bread for 2 days – I’m not much of a bread eater anyway – cheeseburgers without bread are still one of my favorite foods – it’s the chicken I get really tired of really quickly), portion control (custard cups dividing cooked foods means I do not have to worry about measuring anything and I still get to eat things I like but I am not eating giant portions of them) and exercising (walking the dog) … I have not managed to quit smoking yet .. that is next … I went from a size 18 back down to a size 10 by eating healthy and mild but regular exercise …. hone your sense of humor … stop and smell the coffee, the dandelions and the wind … enjoy every precious second spent with your family and pets … plan for the future but live in the present and learn from your past mistakes.
And you too could be a spunky old broad …
… who is quite opinionated and willing to share it with the world.
