Tuesdays Topic: My perspective on David Letterman’s Attack on Sarah Palin & Bristol Palin
Tuesdays Topic this week is perspective … I couldn’t write anything on Tuesday … it just didn’t “appear” that I had anything to say yet so I was mulling it over … tossing ideas around … wondering what I could possibly have to say about perspective from an artistic viewpoint.
THEN … a friend of mine on Facebook … posted a link to a youtube video … it was a horrible one-liner of David Letterman … once again … attacking Sarah Palin … but … this time … he used her daughter as the sledge hammer with one of the most disgusting statements I have ever heard fall out of a grown man’s mouth on national TV (I have heard several since I am over 57 years old) … and he hit MY heart. A youtube video of David Letterman’s comment on his show about Sarah Palin’s daughter getting knocked up by Alex Rodriguez at the Yankees game was reprehensible! A friend posted a link to it on Facebook … I was lucky enough to have missed that particular show … Letterman has a tendency to be stupid, tasteless and un-funny but this went way beyond into indecency!
I will NEVER watch this show again!!!!
AND I am seriously considering boycotting the entire CBS show line-up and all companies advertising on CBS because I am so upset over this hideous continuing harassment of the Palin family, and in particular a child trying to raise a child. I do not find her situation at all funny.
Common sense is to leave a politician’s children and their issues alone … they are kids … they are growing … they make mistakes … they do not need 24/7 heckling in their life for years upon years … but no one has remembered that when it comes to the Palin family.
Should I now expect to see horrible vicious monstrous un-funny one-liners on youtube next week about Sasha and Malia Obama that aired on a CBS sponsored television show?
Bristol Palin is a teen-age Mom trying to raise her child and being ridiculed in public by STUPID cretins like Letterman whose own child’s mother was also an unwed mother thanks to him … well … he needs to apologize publicly and then shut his mouth!!!
Parenting is hard work and so is grand-parenting … I know … I am both.
