Politics – EVERYONE NEEDS TO VOTE – Support Your Candidate
Dateline: September 2006
We’re getting into election time here in the US – there are a lot of candidates up for re-election all over the United States and lots of politician wannabe’s trying to get elected for the first time – the most important thing we can all do as U.S. Citizens is to take time out of our busy lives and go VOTE! It is important to encourage EVERYONE to vote, not just the wealthy but the poor and middle-class of America need to vote too!
The only way we can make our voices heard is to go to the polls and vote – if we do not vote, the minority have the say-so of who is elected and who runs our country. I agree that the choices of who to vote for many times are really lousy – we have to decide who is the least of two or more evils it seems … but it is better if we do at least decide for ourselves and vote even if our candidate does not win – at least we tried and we know we did our best to make a difference.
I urge EVERYONE to get registered to vote and then actually go vote – if everyone went and voted instead of sitting around complaining that they have no voice being heard … we might end up with better candidates who earn their pay and do what they are paid to do instead of getting involved in one scandal after another in our government. When we do not vote, we are saying we do not care who runs our country or how it is run either.
Everyone needs to vote in every election. I plan to vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton for President if she is the Democratic nominee. I have donated money to her campaign several times … and I have never donated money to a politician before in my life. This is a first for me … but America needs some real change … we need a woman in the White House to clean up the mess “Bush the Butcher” has created for our country all over the world.
As always … the opinions I express here are mine and mine only. You are entitled to yours too.
